Research Strategy Office (RSO)

The Research Funding Team in the Research Strategy Office provides tailored grant application support and manages two institutional funds to further enable this - the Large Grant Contributions Fund and Bid Preparation Fund. They also coordinate approval of letters of support from the Pro-Vice Chancellor/Vice Chancellor. For more information on the team see here:

Interdisciplinary Research Centres

The University has a number of Interdisciplinary Research Centres (IRCs) and Strategic Research Initiatives (SRIs) which offer proposal development support and coordination. For a list of IRCs/SRIs see here:

Cambridge Zero

Cambridge Zero offer proposal development support for applications in the sustainability and net zero area. They advertise relevant research funding opportunities through a Research Mailing List and, where useful, support the development of collaborative interdisciplinary research proposals in response to those opportunities. This often involves collaborations that span departments and disciplines and involve external partners. For more information see here:

Impact and Knowledge Exchange

There are a number of teams across the university that support impact and Knowledge Exchange and can help advise on relevant sections of grant applications.
